Heffy Doodle and the Happy Hydrangea (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone!

It's the long weekend as of today! Western Australia has a public holiday on Monday which I am LOVING. It's so good to have a break from the normal. I'll probably be in my bedroom, making cards...

Let's have a look at a gorgeous card that's pretty simple to make:

Yes, it's another Technique Tuesday card! I've used the Happy Hydrangea this time.

Firstly, I took a piece of white cardstock the same size as my card base, and I used my Heffy Doodle Slopey Joes border dies to cut the shape for the border.
Then I grabbed another piece of cardstock with one side the same length as my card base, and trimmed a section to fit just under the border that I had pre-cut. There's no need to be intensely colouring a whole piece of cardstock if I'm only going to use a little bit of it!

I stamped the Happy Hydrangea with my Memento Ink pad (which is perfect for all sorts of colouring mediums as it doesn't run) and used my Tonic Studios Nuvo Markers to colour them in.

I layered my pieces onto the front of my card base and stamped the Friendship Blooms sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp). I also added some nuvo drops to my card - I carefully placed small white drops to the middle sections of the flowers on the hydrangea. The middle of those cards was actually coloured with a purple marker, and the drops took on that colour and the effect is gorgeous.

This card is a pretty simple design and easy to replicate, I really like the minimal design but it's still interesting to create.

That's it for today! I hope you like this card.

Until next time,
Shana xx
