Stamp Focus: Floating Feathers from Spellbinders

Hello everyone!

Welcome back. I've got another stamp focus today, with a number of cards I made using Spellbinder's Floating Feathers.

I apologise for my absence in writing posts - it's been a busy few weeks and I haven't had much energy to get to the computer. I keep reminding myself that this is just a hobby and therefore I don't need to be delivering all the time. This is how I keep my hobby healthy for me! Thanks for your patience xx

I love a gorgeous feather set! I've had this set for a while and decided that I needed to make a number of cards with it. There are very few cards made with this set so I decided to put out some inspiration!

For this first card, I used most of the feather stamps from the set and coloured them using my Nuvo Markers. I definitely wanted it to look like there was light falling on the feathers.

I took the 'thanks' die and die cut a number of red and white layers, and placed it onto the card. At first the red was on its own, but I didn't think it stood out enough, so i layered the white underneath. I also placed some red sequins down to add to the colour. Everything is layered onto a folded A5 card base using foam tape.

For this next card, I've focused on the large feather stamp from the Floating Feathers set, and I've used a number of other feather sets I have as well. These include another Spellbinders Feathers stamp set, and an Artic Feathers set (which I cannot find anywhere anymore).

I embossed the stamp with black sparkling embossing powder from Ranger Ink, and coloured it using Nuvo Markers. I loved how strong the black was, and that the sparkle added a bit of glamour. I then stamped the other feathers in black ink, and added some light colour with pencils.

Last, I added a sentiment using my Dymo LetraTag Label Maker and placed everything onto a folded A5 card base using foam tape.

This final card I really enjoy. It's fairly simple but it makes me happy - and that's all I need.
I used the main feather stamp from the set, and coloured it with Nuvo markers. I do not have any matching dies for this set, so I fussy-cut the image out in order to use it. I layered it onto my cardstock with foam tape, and made sure that the background was slightly smaller than my A5 folded card base.

This card is fairly simple to make and easy to CASE (go ahead!)
I've embossed the sentiment from Altenew's Sentiment Strip set with Ranger Embossing and then added some Iridescent Bubbles from Studio Katia.

That's it for today!

Until next time,
Shana xx
