Mama Elephant's Hippity Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome back.

Pet bunnies are the cutest little things. When my sister purchased two sister bunnies a year ago, they could both fit into the palm of your hand! They're both so big now, but still as cute as ever.

These bunnies from Mama Elephant were on my wish list for a while and I'm so lucky to play with them now. I've got two cards using this set to show you today.

More Bouquets in a Bowl! (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone! Welcome back!

I've got two new projects to share with you today, using the new Bowl Bouquet from Technique Tuesday! This is such a pretty stamp, and you don't often have additional elements in a floral image so this was good fun.
I will also be using this stamp when mother's day rolls around as I think it'll be perfect - just don't tell my mum!

December's release features a gorgeous bunch of flowers in a bowl, and I'm very excited to show you what I did with this product. Be sure to read until the end of this post to see how I added some special touches!

Royal Jasmine and No-Line Colouring (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone!

It's good to be back in the craft room! I'm recovering from a wisdom teeth surgery this week, so I've got some time to craft and write.
Today I'm sharing some cards I've made using the new release from Technique Tuesday - the Royal Jasmine. This stamp is part of the Happy Happy release (which includes a lot of birthday products) so check it out! I'm also looking at a new technique called no-line colouring which I've used for these cards. Let's get into it!

Floral Rose Stem from Hero Arts

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by.

I am very, very excited to talk about this card. It's been waiting patiently to be posted for a while and I have so much to say about it! Considering it took me two solid hours for the colouring and over 9 shades of pink, I really want to explain how this card came together.

Sending Roses (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hi everyone!
Welcome back to another blog post.

Have you ever seen an orange rose?
I'm lucky enough to have a bunch of gorgeous rose varieties outside my bedroom window at my home, and every time they bloom the air smells amazing!
The greatest thing about the orange rose is that it's not totally orange - there's a yellow tinge to the tops of the leaves which is gorgeous and it really bring out that depth of the colours.

Playing with Shapes: Circles and Male Cards

Hello everyone!

It's been a bit of a busy month and so I haven't posted much. I also don't have any new photos from new posts at the moment because my phone got stolen, so we're going back to the First of September (Father's Day in Australia) for this card.

Holly Stamp Set (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone!

I have some super exciting news to share with you all.

I've been invited to Guest Design for Technique Tuesday in October! It's a dream come true and you all know how much I use Technique Tuesday's products. I am very happy to share the cards I made using the new stamp from the Greenhouse Society line: the Holly.

Heffy Doodle and the Happy Hydrangea (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone!

It's the long weekend as of today! Western Australia has a public holiday on Monday which I am LOVING. It's so good to have a break from the normal. I'll probably be in my bedroom, making cards...

Let's have a look at a gorgeous card that's pretty simple to make:

Brand focus: Ink Road Stamps

Hello everyone!

It's good to be back and speaking about my cards again.
I'm going on a different tact today for this 'focus' post. Instead of focusing on one stamp used in different ways, I'm looking at one brand's products and how I've used them.
Now, of course I don't have all the products from this brand, nor have I taken photos of every card, but I'll just dive in and discuss some of the cards I've made using Ink Road Stamps.

Using Ranger Ink products

Hello everyone!
I've got two gorgeous cards for you today, both using the same products.

It's not always easy to get a good ink blending going when you don't have any special blending tools, especially if you accidentally put too much ink down on one spot. I love using stencils because they really reduce the risk of your ink blending going wrong, and create some amazing designs.

I've got two cards using ranger ink products today, so let's have a look:

Hello everyone! Welcome back.

Today I'm looking at a stamp and die set from Technique Tuesday, the Lovely Lavender. This stamp is part of the Greenhouse Society release from Technique Tuesday, which comes out with a new floral image in their monthly releases.

Colouring the Meadow Flower (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone!

It's another weekday and another post. I've just been recovering from a throat infection and then a cold, so bear with me while my words may not make much sense.

Today I've got two cards using Technique Tuesday's Meadow Flower stamp and die, focusing on Alcohol marker colouring. These pens are always good fun to work with.

Stamp Focus - Altenew Floral Frame

Welcome back everyone! It's September, it's spring, let's have some florals!

Today I'm focusing on the stamp set Floral Frame from Altenew in a number of cards. I do love the flower bunch it comes with and the possibilities it holds.

First Look at Altenew's Floral Frame

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another blog post. It's nice to see your friendly faces again.
Today I'm sharing two cards that use the same technique, just different coloring mediums.

I quite enjoy the contrast of this card as the border is the raised section. The sentiment sits flat on the card base but the border pops up. It does draw your eye to the colours which is nice. Let's get into it!

Finger Painting with Nuvo Stone Drops

Hello everyone!

Welcome back.

I', sharing a card that I've created with some new products from Tonic Studios. As you may know, they have a Nuvo drops range that has just expanded to include Stone Drops. These beauties dry with a grainy texture and are completely different than the usual smooth surface drops.

This card was first designed by Koren Wiskman on Instagram, and I based my design on it.

Happy Hollyhock and Sending Roses (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone,
Welcome back to another blog post! I'm doing my best to keep these semi-regularly posted.

I've got a few gorgeous cards using some Technique Tuesday products and my alcohol markers.
Let's get down to it!

This card uses the Happy Hollyhock stamp which was recently released from Technique Tuesday. I've coloured them using my Nuvo alcohol markers and layered the top piece with dimensional sticky foam.

Focus: Layered Die-cuts

Hello everyone!

Today I've got a few cards using a technique that has become super fun to do, even if it's a little messy!

The technique of layering die cuts can be very fiddly but it's a gorgeous way to make your words stand out. With an image you can use layering foam to make it pop, but it's very hard to get that onto a thin die cut!
Here's some cards that use the layering technique to good effect.

Embossing the Happy Hydrangea (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone!

This card today features another new tool that I alluded to in one of my previous posts.
It's the Wonky Stitched border die!
I've had a bunch of fun with this ever since I've received it. It just adds a little something extra to the card base.

The card today has some gorgeous colours and the set is from Technique Tuesday, so you know it's going to be a good one!

This card features Technique Tuesday's Happy Hydrangea stamp with the sentiment die from the Lovely Lavender set.

Stamp Focus - Simon Says Stamp Everything Together

Hi everyone!

Here's another stamp focus post, having a look at the cards I've made using the Everything Together stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I love the strong sentiments provided in this set. 'Hey there, good looking' was the one that caught my eye (see it up the top?) and I've used it for a valentine's card (why not?). There's so many ways you can use the sentiments in this set.

Alcohol Markers and Blooming Branch (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone!

I've got some new additions to the craft room and I want to talk about one with you today.
I've used them in this card so let's go ahead and have a look:

Actually, this picture shows all three new things, so I'll just tell you what I'm focusing on:

Alcohol markers.
I've done a bit of research into what they are, how they work, the best brands, the best prices etc.
I'm sure you've heard of 'Copic Markers' or 'Spectrum Noir' and the like. These are incredible pens which can do so much!

Stamp Focus - Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Day

Hi everyone!

Sometimes it's good to pull out one stamp set you have, and see how many ideas and cards you can create with it. Instead of always focusing on what is new in your craft room, maybe look for an older set, or one that you haven't used much.

Today this post is focusing on some of the cards I've created using the Simon Says Stamp - Beautiful Day stamp set. Let's dive right in!

I love this one. It's super simple and very easy to make, but looks gorgeous.

Embellishments - String on Designer Paper

Hello everyone!

Sometimes our best embellishments have been in the cupboard all along...

In my case, it's string! I found a way to use some gorgeous sting in these cards. This stuff is thicker than your usual sewing thread but not as thick as the 5-part knitting string... it's somewhere in between. Probably a cousin of twine, just without all the fluffy bits.
(Honestly now that I'm running out of it, it's been hard to find back in my local Spotlight.)

The struggle with string and twine is 1-how to keep it down and 2-how to make sure it doesn't bulge underneath your layers.
It's been very easy to add to my cards once I realised how!

CAS Cards - What's the Deal?

Hi everyone!

Many Clean and Simple cards are gorgeous to look at, and they quickly draw your eyes to the main point of the card with out any distractions. There are plenty of blogs and challenges on Instagram which feature CAS cards.

I'm sharing some cards I've made recently with the idea of doing something more simple.

Fresh Peonies and Kind Cosmo (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hey Everyone!
I must get back onto a computer with the express intention of writing a blog, instead of getting distracted by Tumblr. Whoops!
(I'm just doing the best I can)

I've got some Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society stamps featured today. One design, two stamps, slight change in execution because THINGS CHANGE or I may have made a mistake...
That's life, isn't it?

Stamp Focus: Always Flowers from Pink Fresh Studios

Hello everyone!
It's good to be back at the computer writing another blog post. I should probably do this more often!

Today I'm focusing on one particular stamp set which I don't see around the place much. I decided to create some cards with it and see where it leads me! This stamp set is called Always Flowers and it's from Pink Fresh Studio. It's not available on their website, but you can purchase it from Scrapbook.com if you wish.

Up first is a gorgeous square card based on the corner floral from the set.

Stamp focus: Succulents from My Favorite Things

Welcome back everyone!

I've made a number of cards using the Sweet Succulent set from My Favorite Things, and I decided I would do one post for those three cards to showcase the focus. (Also because I can't write a thousand and one blog posts...)
I'll also be attempting to do these more often - making multiple cards with one set. It's good fun, and pushes your brain for new techniques and ideas to use.

First up: here's a card using the MTF stamp set. I love succulents, and it was a pleasure to explore all the possibilities with this set!

Mother's Day Cards

Welcome back, everyone.
For those who have a lovely mother in their lives, I hope you are all planning on spoiling her this weekend!
It's wonderful to have days set aside for when we can celebrate everything our parents have done for us. It's good to remember that some people don't have that parental figure in their lives. If you're feeling lonely this weekend, reach out to someone you admire. Even if it's not a female, let them know that you appreciate their support and leadership.

With all that, it's time to show you the lovely cards I've made! These were based on a previous card I created. I found a sentiment which will fit on the small banner sections.
I don't have many occasion sentiments, so it's lucky I found this one! It's from Neat and Tangled called Gardenia Blooms.

Geometric Shapes - Distress Ink Blending

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another working week!  Time is flying by, we're already into May 😰

Here's another fun card, using a number of different techniques and tools. It's super quick, and easy to do.

I love ink blending. I tend to go for Ranger Ink's Distress ink (there are so many colours!) For this card, I used tape cut into strips for the white angles, and then used blending pads. I love these colours together!

Fresh Peonies Card (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone! I hope your week went well.

I've got another Technique Tuesday card today!
I've used the March Greenhouse Society stamp and die set - Fresh Peonies. This die set also comes with the 'Friend' die which I thought was super cute.

Meadow Flowers Card (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone! It's good to be back on the computer again.
I have the new stamp and die set from Technique Tuesday to share with you today!

Technique Tuesday is a stamp company which I adore. I love their sentiments and bible sayings, and I've fallen in love with their Greenhouse Society stamp sets.
The Greenhouse Society section of each month's release focuses on plants and flowers. I've subscribed to the monthly shipment because it's just too good to miss out on. (I've also gone ahead and splurged on a lot of the previously produced sets - just don't tell my bank account!)

Here's the April release - Meadow Flowers:

Single Layer Cards

Hello everyone. I've got a saying to start us off today:
Simplicity doesn't mean easy, and single-layer doesn't mean boring!

I've noticed a misconception among the crafting community about one-layer and simple cards. I was guilty of it at first too. I mean, you look at a card that's simple and you think it's boring. The more interesting cards have alcohol inks, or layered dies or...

And yet, there's something pretty special about a one-layer card. I love this one here - Sketched Flowers stamp set used for both image and sentiments, again coloured with easily accessed tools such as pencils and a tortillon.

Window Surprise Cards - Tri-Fold Cards

Welcome back, everyone!
It's time!!!

I've been excited to show you my Window Surprise Cards based on @JenniferMcquireInk's posts. I grabbed the instructions from Instagram (considering that's where I found them first) and quickly fell in love.

Altenew Starry Flowers

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another working week!
I've got a few cards for you today featuring a set from the fabulous Altenew company.

Altenew is a huge crafting company based in the US that produces stamps, dies, stencils and many many other crafting tools. I'm using their Starry Flowers stamp set in these cards, and it's a brilliant set to display some pencil colouring and blending.

Easter 2019

Hello everyone!
I've got some Easter cards for you today.
This past Easter I realised that I only had a few Easter-themed stamps, so I worked with what I had!

These cards were inspired by @Pinterest user Tami White - Thanks Tami!

Watercolour Cards

Welcome back, everyone! Here's another post from my recent cards.

Watercolour cards are a new area of practice for me. I'm not comfortable yet with using watercolour paints and a brush, so I've gone with watercolour pencils. These are incredible! If you know anything about me, it's that I love using pencils to colour in.

Avery Elle Floral Bouquet

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another card post. Or I should say, a blog post featuring cards I made a while ago. I've got to back-date some things! This was a fun card to make! I used @averyellestamps Floral Bouquet, focusing on the additional stamps supplied.
