Mama Elephant's Hippity Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome back.

Pet bunnies are the cutest little things. When my sister purchased two sister bunnies a year ago, they could both fit into the palm of your hand! They're both so big now, but still as cute as ever.

These bunnies from Mama Elephant were on my wish list for a while and I'm so lucky to play with them now. I've got two cards using this set to show you today.

You many have noticed I don't do a lot of animal colouring! I find it a little difficult to colour animals realistically, and sometimes I don't even know what cards to make with them!
I love these little bunnies though. Some animals I can say no to, but not a cute bunny stamp! Mama Elephant's bunnies are always adorable and I love them all.

These two cards are created in a fairly similar way, using Mama Elephant's Hippity Hop set.
I've blended Distress Inks with my Stamp Market brushes to create the background. I masked off the sections using Thermoweb Purple Tape. For one card, I used a narrow rectangular shape for my blending, and in my second card I just blended on one side of the tape.

I had a number of bunnies pre-coloured using my Nuvo Markers, so it was fairly quick to add these to the cards. I used light greys and browns for the shading, a touch of light pink in the ears and cheeks, and added some white highlights with a gel pen.

I've focused on dark to light blues and greens for the blending. I've used the following colours:
- Blueprint Sketch
- Mermaid Lagoon
- Peacock Feathers
- Cracked Pistachio
- and some light Twisted Citron on the card with the rectangular blending area.
Once the blending was done, I also added some light splatters on both cards.

Both cards use sentiments from Altenew's Sentiment Strip set, one stamped in ink and the other embossed on black cardstock. This is such a handy set to have!

That's it for now! I hope you enjoy. Here's a few extra pics of the projects. I'm looking forward to colouring more of these cute bunnies.

Here's a bonus picture of me and the bunnies back when they were small!!

Have a great holiday break everyone!

Until next time,
Shana xx
