Altenew Starry Flowers

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another working week!
I've got a few cards for you today featuring a set from the fabulous Altenew company.

Altenew is a huge crafting company based in the US that produces stamps, dies, stencils and many many other crafting tools. I'm using their Starry Flowers stamp set in these cards, and it's a brilliant set to display some pencil colouring and blending.

I've used @RangerInk Distress inks to blend the background and add some splatters, and then picked some matching Faber Castell's Classic Colour pencils.

I really suggest everyone invest in some tortillons for their colouring. For those that don't know, a tortillon is a blending stump consisting of rolled-up paper. It's very cheep and you can get it from most local craft stores. It's fantastic for blending from colour-to-colour, and also blending from colour to white, as I've done here.
Take a closer look at the blending on the Starry flowers set, and the tortillon used, below.

I've also included a picture of a card I posted a while back, using the same techniques. The sentiment this time is from @MamaElephant Timeless Tulips.

That's it for today! I do enjoy the ability to add multiple cards to a blog post, and I have a lot more ideas for the future!
Let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks for visiting!

Until next time,
Happy blending!

Shana xx
