Finger Painting with Nuvo Stone Drops

Hello everyone!

Welcome back.

I', sharing a card that I've created with some new products from Tonic Studios. As you may know, they have a Nuvo drops range that has just expanded to include Stone Drops. These beauties dry with a grainy texture and are completely different than the usual smooth surface drops.

This card was first designed by Koren Wiskman on Instagram, and I based my design on it.

I've used two sizes of the Simon Says Stamp wonky stitched border die. The idea is to make a large blob on the page and then use one finger to swipe down. Clean your finger in between each swipe, as some residue is always left behind. Imperfections make for interesting cards, so go ahead and play around! Just remember to wait for the drying time.
Because these drops do contain moisture and we've used a lot, you can reinforce your card with some backing to make sure it stays straight.

The sentiment comes from Avery Elle's Simple Sentiments set which I use a lot.
These cards are great because they can be used for so many different occasions - for a small gift or maybe even a male birthday card.

These are just very simple cards but are a lot of fun to do. It's good to get your fingers dirty sometimes!
Let me know if you try this technique out. Will it work with the other Nuvo drop ranges too?

Until next time,
Shana xx
