Magical Birthday with Narwhals (Technique Tuesday Animal House)

Hello everyone, welcome back.

I've got a quick post today looking at an Animal House stamp set release from Technique Tuesday - Nancy and Nick the Narwhal. This is a very cute and magical set, sure to please any child (or someone young at heart!

When I received this set I first decided to do some ink blending and see how stamping and die-cutting the narwhals onto it worked. I used a range of purples to blues and even an aqua green from my Ranger Distress inks, stamped and die-cut the narwhal out.

I then masked off the edges of the card using purple tape, and I prepared some waves by hand-cutting some spare paper. If I did this kind of project more often, I may consider purchasing a stencil to help with the blending!

I used various blues and purples for the shading here. It's not perfect but it's definitely something I had fun doing! 

I then stamped the sentiment onto the bottom of the card, and added on the Narwhal with glue dots.

I then also took some confetti sequins from Studio Katia and placed them onto the card using very small permanent glue dots - so much easier than dealing with liquid glue and the possibility of messing up your almost-completed work!

That's it for today. This is a fairly simple card but a little different than my usual.
