Blending the Floral Bunch (Uniquely Creative)

Today I've got some very exciting news to share with you, plus a gorgeous card using the Uniquely Creative Floral Bunch stamp and die set which I just recently purchased and couldn't wait to use. Keep reading to learn more!

It's always an exciting day when you get to add a watermark to your photos!

I have been approached by Uniquely Creative, a small Australian-based crafting company, who have asked me to guest design for them using the October release kit. That's coming up fairly soon, so be on the lookout! In the meantime, I've been able to purchase some other products from Uniquely Creative (it helps that I currently have access to a discount code!) and get creative. I've also been allowed to use the watermark in the lead up to the October release (hence why you see this earlier!).

One of the products I picked up to use first was this gorgeous Floral Bunch stamp set. If you've seen some of the projects created by the design team, you'll have seen how versatile this stamp is!

This card is a one-layer creation, and I've used layering and careful cutting techniques to make everything sit property.

First, I stamped the Floral Bunch onto my card front using my Tim Holtz Stamping platform. (I use this for almost every single stamping I do.) I then carefully stamped the top of the floral bunch onto a new product of mine - Gina K's Masking Magic paper. This is a sticky paper you can use to put on top of your images and then stamp or emboss or do whatever around it! I previously have used just plain paper but this way it'll stay put when I am ink blending. I do have the die-cut for this stamp, but decided to fussy-cut carefully so there would be no white spaces.

My next step was to blend on the top half of the card using my Distress Inks. I used a combination of Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Seedless Preserves and I blended from light to dark and back again. 

Once I was happy with the blending for this card, I removed the layering paper. Then I took a Copic Liner and added the thick black line you see through the floral bunch. I find that adding something like this really centers the card.
I also stamped the sentiment which is from the Uniquely Creative Banner Builder set as I felt that it matched very well!

To add some extra sparkle to this card, I added silver splatters on both the inked section and the white bottom half (using the masking tape to protect the floral section), and this card was finished.
