Naughty or Nice (Santa's come to visit!) - Stamp and Colour kit (Uniquely Creative)

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another post! As you may be aware, I have been approached by Uniquely Creative, a small Australian-based crafting company, who have asked me to guest design for them using the new October kit - and the wait is now over!

Uniquely Creative produce some great products in a wide variety of animal, floral and other themes. I especially a fan of the Aussie sets (I don't see a lot of genuine representation in the crafting industry so this is amazing) and I couldn't wait to get started!

As Christmas is just around the corner, this release is perfectly timed to give you some new sets to play with and create some projects to send out!

I've been asked to create some projects using the Stamp and Colour kit, which is a small release including some stamp sets, dies and paper. This makes a very affordable influx of new products to use so it's a fantastic kit to choose, especially if you're on a tighter budget.

In connection with the Uniquely Creative kit, all of their blog posts contain step-by-step instructions and a list of all products used when creating projects! I wrote down these product lists and decided I would include them in my own blog post. If this helps and you like it, let me know!

First up, we have this card that features the large Merry Christmas die.

This card has as its base one of the great patterned papers contained in the Stamp and Colour kit! I also cut a slightly smaller size of vellum and adhered the two layers together using small white brads. Then I die-cut the sentiment out twice from the red glitter cardstock using my Sizzix die-machine, and also cut it out once in white too. I then carefully glued these layers together to make the sentiment stand out, and placed on top of the vellum. Fairly simple, but that large sentiment makes a statement!

Now we have my personal favourite from this set: Santa's present delivery!

This is a fairly simple card to make but you all know I enjoy those. I stamped the image onto white cardstock and then used my polychromos pencils to colour in the clothing and stamps. I added some white gel pen lines which I think really make a difference! I also added some light shading using greys and browns underneath Santa to give the image a bit of depth.
I then stamped the sentiment twice. It's one long sentiment so I masked off each section to be able to stamp it underneath eachother. I added a bit of grey pencil under the words too, and that's about it! The colouring took the longest - see below for the list of colours I used!

    - Greys: 101, 230, 233, 283

    - Reds: 271, 223, 219
    - Greens: 166, 266

This card was created using some old techniques I haven't worked with in a while.

Firstly, I stamped santa onto a piece of copic-safe paper. I then used my copic liner and Nuvo markers to create the background, including the tree, presents and ground (when you don't have, draw!). I cut santa's clothes out of the supplied patterned paper and glued them onto the base. I also stamped the image on a separate piece of paper and used some Distress inks to blend the paper scroll. I then carefully fussy-cut that out, and adhered to the card. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and this santa was ready to read out his present list!

This last project was fairly quick to create. I wanted to make a tag that I could attach to a gift when Santa comes to visit. I blended the three inks (listed below) onto the Technique Tuesday tag, and then stamped the Santa. I also carefully wrote 'Presents Enclosed' on the bottom right of the tag!
