Fresh Peonies Card (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone! I hope your week went well.

I've got another Technique Tuesday card today!
I've used the March Greenhouse Society stamp and die set - Fresh Peonies. This die set also comes with the 'Friend' die which I thought was super cute.

I coloured the set with Faber Castel Classic Colour pencils, and focused on the yellow-to-red colour scheme. Red contrasts well with black.
This card is based on a post by @AmyKolling from Instagram. She's a design team member for Technique Tuesday, so there's always inspiration there for you!

The 'Friend' die has multiple layers to make it pop - I love doing this technique. Your hands get all sticky but it's good fun. There are multiple types of liquid glue, but I have two main types: Tombow's Mono Multi glue (from Scrapbook.com - love this store!) and X-Press It glue (from my local Spotlight store). The Tombow is great for general liquid glue purposes, however, sometimes you get some very fine letters or sections that need to stick. This is where a thin applicator (haven't tried any, but I heard they're good, just easily clog up) or the X-Press It comes in handy. The Sponge brush allows for large or small application on even the thinnest of lines.

My hands almost died while colouring this - I made multiple cards because they're adorable (But why do I torture myself?) I used my @wermemorykeepers guillotine to make sure my cut strips were straight, and Nuvo Drops for some added colour. The stamped sentiment is from @AveryElle.
I've also used some glue dots supplied by @ColumbusTrading. These dots have come in so handy! They're also easy to layer (and still retain their sticky-ness!) hence there's no bend in the flower. I also used the runner tape for the black stripes - this saves me having to individually cut sections off my adhesive roll, and it's so much easier.

That's it for today, although I do have another similar card sitting on my crafting table right now which will be up here soon. In the meantime, let me know what you think!

Have a relaxing weekend everyone!

Shana xx
