Mother's Day Cards

Welcome back, everyone.
For those who have a lovely mother in their lives, I hope you are all planning on spoiling her this weekend!
It's wonderful to have days set aside for when we can celebrate everything our parents have done for us. It's good to remember that some people don't have that parental figure in their lives. If you're feeling lonely this weekend, reach out to someone you admire. Even if it's not a female, let them know that you appreciate their support and leadership.

With all that, it's time to show you the lovely cards I've made! These were based on a previous card I created. I found a sentiment which will fit on the small banner sections.
I don't have many occasion sentiments, so it's lucky I found this one! It's from Neat and Tangled called Gardenia Blooms.

(I went ahead and made a few - there are numerous ladies in my
life who can stand to receive a glorious card like this!)

I used Technique Tuesday stamps for these cards, featuring the Greenhouse Society March and April stamps - Fresh Peonies and Meadow Flowers.
I used a grey ink from Ranger Ink for the background, and then coloured the stamp sets with pencils. The black strips were cut with my We R Memory Keepers Guillotine cutter (straight lines make me happy), and I used @RangerInk Fine White embossing powder. I always use the super fine embossing powders, it's much better quality for detailed stamps.

(Notice the bottom layer actually holds multiple stamps of the top image)

Of course, I couldn't resist taking my Zig glitter pen to add some shine to the cards. It's impossible to photograph this time but trust me, it's there!
Finally, I'll add just a small bonus card down the bottom here too. It's not too hard to whip up a quick card, and I used this opportunity to create another 5-Minute Card. There's a small challenge on Instagram to make a card in 5 minutes. Follow the link to see some cute cards which were created in only a short amount of time. Can you make a card in 5 minutes? If you want to try, tag me in your creations! Don't forget to use the hashtag #5minutecardchallenge

I used a circle scallop die for the top, and also used some stamps from Bo Bunny. The sentiment is from @MyFavoriteThings.

That's it for today! Hopefully, you have a card and something special for your mother, and maybe try a 5-minute challenge soon.

Until next time,
Shana xx
