CAS Cards - What's the Deal?

Hi everyone!

Many Clean and Simple cards are gorgeous to look at, and they quickly draw your eyes to the main point of the card with out any distractions. There are plenty of blogs and challenges on Instagram which feature CAS cards.

I'm sharing some cards I've made recently with the idea of doing something more simple.
The first card above uses a sent from Gina K Designs (one of her older releases, I purchased it through a destash) and the sentiment is from Mama Elephant.
The flowers are coloured with my Faber Castell Classic Colour pencils, and blended with a tortillion. I wanted the main focus to be on the stamp set, so I thought that embossing on vellum was the perfect way to compliment the card.

It's easy to find lots of inspiration by following various blogs, or by searching for #cleanandsimplecard on Instagram.

This next card uses two sets from Altenew, the Starry Flowers and the Perfectly Perfect sets.

I've also used a Zentangle technique to add something extra to the card. The catkin design is super easy. If you're interested in learning Zentange for cards, head over to Amber's Instagram page. She recently did a Zentangle for Cardmakers class over at Altenew Academy so feel free to sign up and learn!

That's all I have for today. I'm sure you can find lots of clean and simple card ideas around the place. Have a try and don't be scared to go with less.

Until next time,
Shana xx
