Stamp Focus - Simon Says Stamp Everything Together

Hi everyone!

Here's another stamp focus post, having a look at the cards I've made using the Everything Together stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I love the strong sentiments provided in this set. 'Hey there, good looking' was the one that caught my eye (see it up the top?) and I've used it for a valentine's card (why not?). There's so many ways you can use the sentiments in this set.

This first card I've used the images provided to create a colour coordinated background, based in
blues. This is very quick and easy to do!
Then I used my Tim Holtz stamping platform to stamp the sentiment multiple times - I wanted that strong black colour to stand out.

The inks I've used for these first two cards come from VersaColor Ink Pads.
I find that when wanting solid stamped colour, these work better than the Distress Inks. I also use these because they're in easy supply at my local Spotlight... I don't have many other ink pads and when I want to buy a set, they're so expensive!

For this card I've taken the images provided and used them to create small flower clusters based around the sentiment. There's no real need to mask any of the stamps, the deign makes it okay to see the overlap. Some flowers have white Nuvo Drops in the center, and I've also added some clear drops around the place for good measure.

These cards have a different feel than my usual ones but it was good to branch out a bit. I don't usually focus on the sentiment on my cards, I'm normally more focused on the floral flowers that I might colour, so this was good.

You've seen this last card before, but I figured I'd post it again, as I've used the sentiment to match the designer paper. I've used Stampendous silver embossing powder for the sentiment and it's so shiny!

That's it for today everyone, thanks for joining me.

Do you have something you focus on most on your cards - sentiments or florals or backgrounds?

Until next time,

Shana xx
