Lovely Lavender card (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone! Welcome back.

Today I'm looking at a stamp and die set from Technique Tuesday, the Lovely Lavender. This stamp is part of the Greenhouse Society release from Technique Tuesday, which comes out with a new floral image in their monthly releases.

We have a lavender plant at home which makes a lovely smell, but I noticed that the flowers are all the same colour - it doesn't change anywhere on the stem. That doesn't lend for very a very interesting card, so I decided to go with different shades for the flowers.

I stamped and then coloured this set lovely branch set with my Nuvo Alcohol markers, and then die-cut it with the matching die. I also die-cut the 'love you' from that die set numerous times (the number was over 12...)

I started layering the die-cut sentiment, and halfway, I cut out the middle section. I repeated this for a while, and then the top four layers are again the full length sentiment. The purpose of doing this was so that my lavender stamp actually sat in the middle of the die-cut sentiment - I did want the lavender sprig to be sitting off the background (using foam adhesive) but still underneath the 'love you'. I think it worked!

The background is blended Distress Ink from Ranger Ink on a Simon Says Stamp Wonky Stitched Border Die. I added some blue shades of Nuvo Drops and that is it!

That's it for today! I hope you liked this card.

Until next time,
Shana xx
