Using Ranger Ink products

Hello everyone!
I've got two gorgeous cards for you today, both using the same products.

It's not always easy to get a good ink blending going when you don't have any special blending tools, especially if you accidentally put too much ink down on one spot. I love using stencils because they really reduce the risk of your ink blending going wrong, and create some amazing designs.

I've got two cards using ranger ink products today, so let's have a look:

I recently received the Flower Burst stencil from Ranger Ink and I really wanted to try some ink blending with it. I do love how well the Ranger inks blend, and there's enough of every colour to get a lovely range! I went with yellows to reds for one card, and greens to blues for the other.

I first took my Wonky Stitched border die from Simon Says Stamp and cut out two backgrounds. I then chose my inks from Ranger and worked on blending from the middle of the stencil outwards, moving from dark to light. Once I had the basic colours down, I went back and forth between them to get the proportions and shading right.

I next took the sentiment from Ranger's Letter It collection: Thank You. I wanted a nice large sentiment to fit with the card. I then cut some vellum strips and embossed the sentiment with Ranger's Fine Embossing powder.

Next, I took the ends of those vellum strips (they are longer than the card base) and fold them over the edge. I use thin adhesive to stick the edges down so that the card will have vellum without needing to use glue and risk bits showing through.

Finally, I took my thin adhesive and placed the card front onto a pre-cut card, added some Nuvo drops, and we're done! I used drops from the Dream Drops range which worked perfectly for this card, I love the shine and magic they have, with their highly iridescent rainbow finish. Pretty!

That's it for today everyone!
I did not intend for this card to focus on Ranger products but it just turned out that way! Sometimes it just works well. I hope you enjoy.

Until next time,
Shana xx
