Alluring Orchid and Rose Gold Embossing Powder (Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society)

Hello everyone!

Welcome back. What a crazy time we are living in, huh?
I hope you are all staying safe and well. Currently, I'm still working full time but we'll see what happens. In the meantime, I'm crafting whenever I can.

Take a break and check out how to make these cards using the Alluring Orchid set from Technique Tuesday!
On Monday 16th March I was blessed enough to have a day off work. I specifically knew I wanted to get to a craft store near me (we don't have many in Australia) and they're not open on Saturdays, so I needed a day during the week to get there!
While spending time in this happy place, I stumbled across one pot of Lawn Fawn's Rose Gold embossing powder. I don't usually go for extra colours but I figured I had $10 to spare and I purchased it!

Long story short, it's the first product I turned to when deciding what cards to create using the new Technique Tuesday release!

This first card is a very clean and simple creation. I stamped and embossed the Orchid onto watercolour paper and then I used my Nuvo Aqua Flow markers to watercolour this gorgeous flower. I love the ability to add more colours and see them work together when using these watercolour pens.

I also cut a section of white cardstock down to just smaller than an A6 card base, and embossed the birthday sentiment with the Rose Gold onto it. Once my flower was die-cut out, I layered everything onto the card base.
This really is a super simple card! I love seeing the white and how your eye is drawn to the orchid.

This next card is fairly similar in idea.
I first did some light ink blending with Distress Inks. I then stamped and embossed the Orchid image with the Rose Gold powder, and coloured it in with my Nuvo Markers.

I die-cut out the smallest Jam Jar Label die and embossed the sentiment onto it. Then I die-cut my orchid out and layered everything onto a card base.

Unfortunately, I'm not super happy with how the images turned out this time, I find they're a little dark. I'm seeing what I can do to lighten things up because I see a lot better images out there! Bear with me.

That's it for today, everyone! Have a great weekend, don't go out too much, enjoy the small blessings.

Until next time,
Shana xx
