Some Cute Bunnies (Technique Tuesday Animal House)

Hello everyone!
Welcome back to another animal-based post, using some new products from Technique Tuesday!

I've got some adorable bunnies to share with you today! This is part of the Animal House February Release from Technique Tuesday. Every month they have a new animal, and sentiments to match. This is perfectly in time for Easter too! Isn't it cute??

As I've mentioned before, my sister has two bunnies which are growing every day and are absolutely adorable. They shed too much hair and get grumpy at each other, but they're so much fun to play around with, and they love you when you give them some fresh grass.

I have found that when I use an animal set, I often colour in the traditional shades as much as possible. I wanted to branch out and just have some fun this time, so I decided to pick out some random colours from my Nuvo Markers and just have some fun!

I ended up with green, pink and purple - not colours you'd usually want to see on your pet!
I stamped these bunnies in Memento Ink, and then did some light colouring and shading with the various colours.
I wanted this card to be very clean and simple, and I also need to have a quick way of making some cards for when I need a number of birthday messages.

I die-cut the bunnies out and then turned to my card. I've done a flip-open card in the usual A6 card base size, and just folded from the top.
I also took a strip of green paper and stamped the sentiment on it. I added some of the purple marker to the bottom half and then use the colourless pen to blend it out. I placed this onto my card base with foam tape, and also placed the green bunny on top of the sentiment banner.

The second project I made with this stamp set was a small tag I added to a greeting package.
I stamped the bunny and coloured it with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, along with the two carrots. I then die-cut the shape using a Kaiser Craft tag die, and I also cut out the ribbon section using a die from the Essential Stitched Labels set.

I then took the long sentiment (see the image of the stamp set above!) and halved it in order to stamp on the tag. In order to do this, I placed the sentiment on my Stamping Platform, lined up the tag with the first section 'hopping by', and placed some masking tape over the rest of the sentiment. I inked it up and stamped twice (removing the masking tape in order to stamp, replacing in order to ink it up again).
I then moved the tag over and did the same, this time masking the 'hopping by' section and inking up the 'happy hi' bit.

Lastly, I added some ribbon up the top, and I had a tag to use with my gift!

That's it for today everyone! I enjoyed colouring these bunnies, especially with the strange colours I picked out. Maybe I should do this more often?

Until next time,
Shana xx
